Central to the objective of preserving the rich Tibetan heritage is the promotion of the Tibetan Buddhist culture based on the concept of the union of compassion and wisdom. With the ever growing Tibetan community here in the Twin Cities, it is always a challenge to meet the spiritual needs of the Tibetan people of all generations, particularly the youth. Following the advice of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, TAFM, through its Spiritual Committee, organizes discussions and debates on the teachings of Buddha and regularly invites Buddhist masters and scholars to the Twin Cities. TAFM takes His Holiness’ vision as a guiding principle for the adaptation of Buddha’s teachings to the needs of this day and age.
