Future Plans for Growth With the continued relocation and immigration of Tibetans to the Twin cities, we are actively planning to recreate the existing building and add new spaces to accommodate the growing population. TAFM estimates a budget of $2.3 million for structural repairs to the existing building while a new addition of 6000sq. ft. (with a 120- car parking ramp) will provide for the following: 1. Enough space and rooms for the Tibetan Culture School for enrollment of 250 students. 2. Media center for students. 3. Recreation facility (basketball) for youth. 4. Enough space to accommodate 500 people for TAFM events. 5. Enable services for senior citizens. In order to meet this goal TAFM is in clear need of your monetary...Read More

Minnesota, US — A couple of Tibetan students in Minnesota Saturday hosted a three hour-long dialogue between Tibetan and Chinese students at University of Minnesota. London based Professor Dibyesh Anand and Minnesota based Professor Norman Piatti were guest of the speakers of the dialogue between Tibetan and Chinese students at the university. Professor Dibyesh Anand spoke about the two narratives of Tibet; one from Chinese side and one from Tibet side, and professor Norman Piatti spoke about the middle way approach that was initially introduced by the Dalai Lama. Dear TAFM Community Members,
Tashi Delek! I write this letter after a very fruitful discussion with community members at the last general body meeting on December 6. Two issues of particular importance were highlighted which I would like to discuss for those unable to attend the session. First, many of the members present voiced their strong support of a membership drive. As it currently stands, if all outstanding receivables for TAFM membership as well as Tibetan cultural school fees were paid for, our organization would be in excess of revenue over expense. As you Membership-Drive-Letter-Eng
